The aim is to develop student centered innovative pedagogical competences of teachers to be used in education of students in the field of sustainable timber construction. Pedagogical competences will include teaching in online and blended environments using trans-disciplinary project based learning (PBL) and learning by developing.
The objectives are:
to develop teaching guidelines;
to prepare training materials;
to train teachers to apply innovative pedagogical approaches in daily education practices;
to adopt new teaching methods in existing courses’ curricula;
to disseminate innovative pedagogical methods to local academic communities.

The principles are universal and can be applied to any discipline. Here, in the TimberEDU project, the example is built upon timber construction.
